National Gratitude Month

November is about showing gratitude all month long! Help your students learn how to cultivate an attitude of gratitude in our Gratitude and Oprah Winfrey 1st/2nd-grade video episode!

National Inspirational Role Models Month

You do not have to be famous to be an amazing role model! Here at The Character Tree, some of our favorite episodes are about the many children helping to make a difference. Watch one of our free samples, Kindness & Jahkil Jackson and see how you are never too young to show great character!

Native American Heritage Month

A month to learn, observe, reflect, create, and connect! The history of Indigenous People in the U.S. is vast. For young learners, we recommend celebrating and learning about indigenous historical figures, like Jim Thorpe. Be sure to check out our Perseverance & Jim Thorpe 1st/2nd-grade video episode & supplemental resource. Looking for more activities? Try https://nativeamericanheritagemonth.gov/for-teachers/

National Stress Awareness Day – November 3rd

There is a lot to be stressed about, especially around the holidays. In our free sample kindergarten episode, Calm Down Strategies, Miss Sara helps students when they are too anxious, angry, or worried.

National STEAM Day – November 8th

November 8th is National Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) Day. This is an excellent opportunity to watch our kindergarten episode Perseverance & Scientists or to learn about the first Black women to travel into space in Mae Jemison & Curiosity.

Veterans Day – November 11th

We know how important it is to show gratitude for Veterans! That’s why we created the 1st/2nd grade episode, Gratitude and Veterans!  It helps children learn about Veterans and why we celebrate them!

World Kindness Day – November 13th

A day to embrace being kind. Watch any of our kindergarten or 1st/2nd-grade episodes that focus on kindness!

National Princess Day – November 18th

Any of your student’s interested in Princesses? Learn about a real-life princess in our Kindness & Kate Middleton 1st/2nd grade episode!

Children’s Book Week– November 8th -14th

Here at The Character Tree, we are all about children’s books! Here are a few that we love!
